Kashmir is beautiful, ruined by terrorism who have no respect for human life. Religion is being used for personal gains and vested interests. God created paradise on earth, hell made by man.

It could be better to see more advance in the peaceful process of Cashmir. But it seems that terrorists never sleeps destroying what others are constructing in a peinful way. Hope to see a lot of people in the manifestion in Paris by NWRI and Maryam Rajavi. After the indicated contact between Ahmadinedjad and Bin Laden the situation for Kashmir increased again. What they want? Be the dictators of a world of death people?

These beautiful yet poignant images of Kashmir remind the world to pay more attention in ensuring that this vicious conflict gets resolved equitably.

What happened to the beautiful temple SHANKARAACHARYA in SRINAGAR. Kevin you didn't see it or has it been destroyed and desecrated? The Hari Parbhat makes a picteuresque image in Srinagar/ Any reason for ignoring the temples in the city.

Kevin, Any plans to write about the situation in Pakistan Controlled Kashmir? In the democratic Indian Kashmir (the state government is elected by the people. there was more than 60% voting in the last state elections), anyone is allowed to roam and write freely (unless you are a terrorist). I wonder whether Pakistan will even allow you (western media) to enter Pakistan held Kashmir. In Indian Kashmir you have pictured peaceful people, the tourists experiencing the serene beauty of Kashmir and the Indian military trying to maintain the paradise on earth. I wonder what you will see in Pakistan held Kashimr - no freedom of expression, terrorist camps, religious extremity ??? Kevin, after your visit to Indian Kashmir, why don't you plan a visit to Pakisan held Kashmir and enlighten the world with both sides of the story. And please don't forget to mention about the functioning of Jihadi terrorist groups who have links to Al-Quiada, after the recent earthquake in the region (even the US media has admitted their existence) and how the corrupt Pakistan military govt did not even bother about providing relief to the poor people of Pakistan Held Kashmir. I look forward towards reading both sides of the story. Amit

It’s really a pity that peace is not being given a chance, both sides don’t seem to understand the gravity of suffering that innocent people are going through. Being an Indian I have witnessed the attitude of people on this side and gathered what people on the other side think. With India and Pakistan, its not religion, ideology, systems of governance or land, it’s about egos. It’s high time both India and Pakistan act responsibly and freeze the line of control as the international border; this paradise is not worth all the blood, nothing is… -Richin

To ab_cute7: You are anything but cute. There are only gross lies in the piece which you wrote. Pakistani Kashmir was inundated with world media after the October earthquake continuing for several months. The government response, as was the response of the international community, was pretty intense and sincere. I'm not an apologiste for the Pakistani government, and neither India nor Pakistan are angels in this conflict. However, your hatred comes through loud and clear. Why? Paul, New York City
